05 Mar Men’s Winter League

3 of our teams contest knockout matches this weekend. Our first team are at home on Sunday morning in a 1/4 final match vs Blackrock B&LTC and need to win this and one more to gain promotion. Best of luck to Charlie O’Kelly and his team.

Team 4 are also at home and hoping for a slightly early start in their 1/4 final vs Sandycove LTC. Aidan’s team have already secured promotion but will be keen to progress further. Thanks to 3 mighty members of this team who stepped up to Team 3 last week-end and secured the 2 points required for that team to progress.

Team 3 face a difficult away trip to play an in form Naas LTC club who had their first 6 teams top their groups in their respective playoff sections. The Naas second team unfortunately knocked out our Team 2 last week-end.

Thanks to Dave Falkner for running a great campaign and all his team members for playing. 68 male players played in the 5 round robin matches for 6 teams representing our club. Thank you to all the players who did so well and great to see so many players involved. A particular thank you to our recent members who also participated and we look forward to seeing you continue the good form in to summer league.
