17 Oct Tennis Ireland Umpiring Course
Tuesday, 23rd October & Tuesday, 6th November
Tennis Ireland will be shortly running a number of umpiring course, with the help of Gold ATP and ITF Umpire Fergus Murphy. Fergus is one of only a handful of Umpires currently working full time on the ATP Tour and has sat in the chair for some of the biggest matches in tennis.
We have two 90min intro course’s being held in the National Tennis Centre on the 23rd Oct. and 6th Nov. This will include off and on court presentations from Fergus. Leading on from these short courses we will be running a One and a Half day full course with a certificate presented at the end. This will go into detail on a number of areas and again will feature a mix of on and off court presentation.
Both courses are suitable to anyone with an interest in Tennis, however older teenagers over 16 and college aged students should be particularly encouraged to sign up as there is the possibility of work at a number of Tennis Ireland National events, including with further training from the Irish Tennis Umpires Association, the Irish Open.
